Field Visit

In April 21, May 1 and May 2, 2016 JAFS Deputy Director Ms. Noriko Atsuta Malla , members from Japan and AFS- Nepal President Mr. Rajan Man malla went for a field visit to see the ongoing construction of Earthquake resistance structure house in Bhotshipa V.D.C.8, Sindhupalchok which is supported by JPF (Japan Platform) in collaboration with JAFS to the most misfortunate victims of April 25, 2015 requiring shelter although a year has gone by.

Solar Panel and Embankment Project (April 22 – April 25 2016 )

Target: - Our target was to place 6 solar panel frames in Shree shanti primary school where 2 solar frames was placed in previous year project then our next target was to complete 125 meter of embankment project in river bank site where our previous year target was just of 50 meter. This work was held for 4 days.

April 22, 2016:- As soon as we reached pithauli Mr. Hatanaka san and Mr. Kinosita san started the work i.e discussion of the work and sight-seeing after a warm welcome by the community and school members. There was involvement of volunteers from the village. The two different work was in two different place.

April 23 2016:- On this day school children’s were also involved in the embankment work (carrying bamboo) and also for watering the plants. Though it was a sunny day the workers worked very hard from early morning till noon. Had some break then again back to work till dusk. 40% of work finished in river bank site where as 60 % of work finished in placing the solar panel frame.

                
              

April 24, 2016:- Everyone worked very hard under the sun in order to complete the work. In the noon time Mr. Hatanaka san and Mr. Kinosita san gave the children’s shampoo water to play by blowing it and gave erasers and pencil to every students of Shree Shanti Priamary School. Workers were able to finish 85% of work in the river bank site till dusk where as in school the whole targeted work was completed.

April 25, 2016:- Farewell program was given by the villagers and then returned back to Kathmandu.
