Meal Feeding Programs

With the motive of bringing hope to the people and community who have been feeling down after the 25th April, 2015 Earthquake, JAFS / AFS - Nepal launched a mid-day meal program with the prime objective of feeding meal to the quake affected homeless people.

We run this program for three days where we provided meals (Khaja) for 443 people in total at Mahalaxmisthan (400 people) and Inacho (43 people for two days), Bhaktapur where the volunteers of JAFS and the reporters of "Aasahi Sinbun", Japan also helped us in feeding foods and drinks and also distribute some T-shirt (for children) and toothbrush (for all)  at our first site i.e Mahalaxmisthan and slippers and stationary items like pencils and copies to the children at the second site.The reporters also took an interview with the locals about the earthquake and how the quake had changed their life.

However, this program would not succeed without our volunteer members who took the arrangement of the meal and the students of Creative English School who helped in volunteering on it.
